• ILC-I conducted a research on the “Comparative Study of National Policies on Older Persons” in two developed and two developing countries, namely, Australia & Japan and Sri Lanka & Bangladesh with that of India.
  
  
• This study was conducted by ILC-I for the PREM Division of the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment (GoI).
  
  
• ILC-I, in collaboration with YASHADA and leading senior citizens’ organizations of Maharashtra including FESCOM and experts in the fields of gerontology and geriatrics drafted the Maharashtra State Policy on Older Persons.

The draft policy has been submitted to the Government of Maharashtra for approval and for tabling it in the legislature.
