ILC-I in collaboration with the Janaseva Foundation has instituted the “B. G. Deshmukh Awards for Senior Citizens”.
The Categories of the Awards are-
An award to three senior citizens organizations from Maharashtra for “Excellence in Promoting Qualitative Ageing.”
“The Jeevan Gaurav Puraskar” for three individual senior citizens above the age of 70 years from Maharashtra for exemplary work done by them in the fields of culture, arts, music, education and literature.
A panel of eminent personalities has been constituted to select the winners from the applications received by it.
This year the Awards will be distributed on the 29th of June 10 by H. E. Dr. K. Shankarnarayanan, the Governor of Maharashtra. |
